Korea RRA Revises Conformity Assessment Testing Regulation

The National Radio Research Agency (RRA) of Korea published Notice 2023-6 revising the “Announcement on Conformity Assessment of Broadcasting and Communications Equipment” on April 18, 2023. The revisions include the following items:

 

• Previously if new wireless functions were added to approved products, new applications for certificates were required. Now permissive change may be done rather than applying for new certificates.

Only conformity-certified products can be reported for change, and conformity-registered products cannot be changed.

 

• The Manufacturing Date Format (Year.Month.Date) on the label may be expressed in various ways, whether on the label, packaging, or in accompanying documents.
