ACMA is seeking comments on the proposed changes to the licence area plan – Remote Central and Eastern Australia (Radio) – October 1996 (Remote LAP).
The authority is proposing to vary the Remote Central and Eastern radio licence area plan (LAP). This will involve planning for the national and community radio services currently operating as well as 2 potential proposed new commercial radio services and 2 additional national radio services.
The proposed changes will enable the continued operation of existing community radio services and ABC services and provide the opportunity for broadcasters to choose to provide additional national and commercial radio services on Norfolk Island, in accordance with the amended Remote LAP.
