On May 22, 2023, ENACOM published Resolution 756/2023, which finally allocates officially the 6GHz band for Wi-Fi, as known as Wi-Fi 6E.
According to their previous public consultation in 2020, the lower portion of the band was allocated. After many studies and requests, however, the upper portion of the band has been also allocated.
The summary of the resolution is as follows:
Ø Allocated Frequency Band: 5925 - 7125 MHz (Hereinafter 6E Band)
Ø The operation of 6E Band is for exclusive indoor use
Ø Operating Conditions

Access Points & Slave Devices | 30 dBm | 5 dBm/MHz |
Client Devices*1) | 24 dBm | -1 dBm/MHz |
* 1) Client Device: Device which transmission is under the control of an access point and is not capable of starting a network.
Ø The devices using 6E Band are prohibited to operate on any means of transport (vehicles, trains, boats, and airplanes). The operation is, however, permitted on aircraft above 10,000 feet.
