On June 10, 2026, The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of Korea has published the ‘Guidelines for the Preparation of Cosmetic Safety Assessment Data’ to enhance the understanding of cosmetic safety assessment data and to provide guidance on the necessary preparation for responsible distributors who manage the quality and safety of cosmetics while distributing and selling them.
The detailed requirements for the safety assessment document are as follows.

2. Cosmetic Safety Assessment Report
1) Cosmetic Safety Information
2) Safety Assessment Conclusion and Safe Use Plan
3) Safety Assessor Signature and Qualification Proof
Although these guidelines do not have legal force externally, a cosmetics safety evaluation system is scheduled to be introduced in stages starting in 2028.
