CHINA: MODERNISE CCC CERTIFICATE & MARK MANAGEMENT

 

CNCA has issued the National Certification and Accreditation Administration Announcement No. 12 of 2023, on Compulsory Product Certification Certificate (hereinafter as CCC Certificate) and Marking Management.

 

With the announcement, CNCA expands the application of electronic certificates and improves the management of CCC Certificate and Marking.

 

The summary of the announcement is as follows:

1. CCC certification fully implements electronic certificates.
   • If the applicant needs it, the certification body will issue additional hard copy certificates.
   • The existing certificates that have been issued in hard copy stay valid, and they will be naturally transferred to electronic certificates through modification, renewal, etc.
   • Hard copy certificates have the same legal effect as electronic certificates.
2. Electronic CCC Mark is allowed under conditions as follows:
   • Definition of Electronic CCC Mark
     The CCC mark which is displayed electronically on the integrated screen of the product.
   • Applicable Products
     The products with integrated screens to show electronic nameplates by itself.
     (The product shouldn’t be able to work properly without the screens)
   • Application Requirements
     -  The way to check the electronic CCC mark should be specified in the product manual and other accompanying documents.
     -  CCC mark should be applied on the minimum packaging unit of sales.

 

The announcement will come into effect on January 1, 2024.
