
On October 20, 2025, China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) added three new cosmetic ingredients to Catalog II of the Inventory of Existing Cosmetic Ingredients in China (IECIC), which have completed the safety monitoring period and evaluation.
The IECIC is a list used for managing cosmetic ingredients in China and is divided into two catalogs:
- Catalog I: Contains ingredients previously used in cosmetics manufactured or sold in China.
- Catalog II: Contains new ingredients that have completed the safety monitoring period and evaluation.
The three newly added ingredients, which have completed the safety monitoring period, are:
- Lauroyl Alanine
- Polymethylsilsesquioxane/Trimethylsiloxysilicate
- Bis-Cetearylamodimethicone
