As the Radiocommunications (Mid-West Radio Quiet Zone) Frequency Band Plan 2011, which supports the Australian Radio Quiet Zone Western Australia (ARQZWA) and its viability for radio astronomy services, is due to sunset on 1 April 2023, ACMA wants to remake the band plan with minor changes.
ACMA plans to retitle it the Radiocommunications (Australian Radio Quiet Zone Western Australia) Frequency Band Plan 2023. You can find a draft of the new plan and the consultant paper here.
The authority welcomes your comments on the proposed band plan – to freqplan@acma.gov.au by 5 pm (AEDT) on 14 November 2022.
