The Comisión Federal Paralla Proteción contra Riesgos Sanitaros (COFEPRIS), an organization under the Mexican Ministry of Health, is a national important place to obtain cosmetic certification in Mexico.
1) In order to obtain COFEPRIS certification, it must be located in Mexico, and if it is a foreign company, a legal representative is designated.
2) The ingredients must be reviewed for non-use ingredients.
3) Review that the labeling required by the official Mexican Standards (NOM) below has been met and the label must be approved by the verification station designated by COFEPRIS .
