The VCRP program has been suspended since March this year under the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022.
On August 7, 2023, the FDA issues draft guidance for registration and listing of cosmetic product facilities and product
Under MoCRA, submission of information about existing cosmetic product facilities and products is required no later than Dec. 29 and Renewal every two years.
In addition, there is no submission fee to the FDA for facility registration and product registration.
I will explain the facility registration and product registration as below.
1) Facility registration : Submitting information about cosmetics manufacturers and is managed by the FEI (FDA Establishment Identifier) facility registration number.
2) Product listing : Submitting information about ingredients and labels for the product, and the electronic submission portal will be available from October 2023.
However, in the draft guidelines, in the case of small business, facility registration and product registration are exempted.
