Thailand Cosmetics Registration

 

To enter the Thai beauty market, it is essential to register cosmetics with the Thai FDA.

 

Thai cosmetics are regulated under Cosmetics Act BB.E 2558(2015).

Also, Thai cosmetics are regulated by ASEAN Cosmetic Directive(ACD) under the guidelines of ASEAN Cosmetic Committee(ACC).

When registering cosmetics, PIF and label are basically required.

 

<PIF Document>

-       Material safety data sheet (MFDS)

-       GMP or ISO of manufacturing plant

-       Certificate of Free Sale (CFS)

etc.

 

<Label Information Requirements>

-        Brand name and cosmetics name

-        Name and address of importer and name and country of manufacture

-        Content

-        Instructions for use

-        Caution

-         Product registration number

-         Date of manufacture and expiration date

-         Manufacturing lot number

-         All ingredients of the product

Labels must be written in Thai, and foreign languages can be written together.

 

The Thai cosmetics license is valid for 3 years, and cosmetic products must be reported to the Thai FDA through a responsible person in Thailand.
