On October 19, 2023, Israel's Ministry of Economy and Industry announced exemptions for inspections and approvals for dozens of products to facilitate Israeli imports.
On the condition that shipments out of customs supervision are taken out and imported into Israel, the importer is not required to submit a certificate of compliance with the standard conditions under the customary conditions.
It is possible to waive official approval, but requirements that must be complied with the relevant standards are not exempt. Under the applicable legislation, only those that require standard approval for importation are exempted.
