On November 13, 2023, the China CNCA announced changes to the required product certification standards for switches and control equipment. From 1 March, 2024, GB/T 7251.2-2023 Low Voltage Switchgear and Control Unit Assembly - Part 2: The Power Switchgear and Control Unit Assembly shall be implemented, replacing GB/T 7251.12-2013.
Until February 29, 2024, manufacturers can voluntarily choose to issue CCC Certificate based on GB/T 7251.2-2023 (new standard) or GB/T 7251.12-2013 (old standard).
For products that have been certified according to the old standard, the conversion to the new standard is required by February 28, 2025. The certificates that have not completed the version change shall be revoked from March 1, 2026.
