< China: CCC, Launches Electronic Certificate>

 

 

In accordance with "Announcement of the National Certification and Accreditation Administration on Improving the Management of Compulsory Product Certification Certificates and Marks" (No. 12, 2023), CCC certificate has started to be issued in electronic certificate form from January 1, 2024.

 

As informed before, it is possible to issue in hard copy upon the applicant’s request. It is recommended, however, that the certification principal obtain only electronic certificates.

 

The electronic certificate format follows China’s electronic document exchange and storage format standards, and uses the OFD (Open Fixed-layout Document) document format. OFD professional tools such as Kingsoft WPS and Mathematics OFD Reader are used to view electronic certificate information and verify electronic signatures.

 

Also, certificates, which are already issued in hard copy or PDF format, will be replaced by the electronic certificate in OFD format during their renewal or modifications, etc.
