The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety Revised the "CGMP Guidelines" as of December 30, 2024
The CGMP (Cosmetic Good Manufacturing Practice) is a standard for manufacturing and quality control to ensure the production and supply of high-quality cosmetics. It sets guidelines for the handling and implementation of processes involving personnel, facilities, equipment, raw materials, bulk products, and finished products. The goal is to help cosmetic manufacturers produce, manage, store, and supply superior cosmetics, ultimately protecting consumers and promoting public health.
In August 2024, the CGMP was revised to reflect harmonization with the international cosmetic standard ISO 22716. Following this, the CGMP Guidelines were also updated to align with these revisions.
The main updates include the addition of total heat exchangers to ventilation facilities, workplace hygiene management methods, and cross-contamination prevention methods when weighing raw materials, as well as frequent question-and-answer and CGMP assessment supplementary casebooks.
